Our Team

Mrs TBola Tinubu founded The Cece Yara Foundation and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation.

A lawyer who has spent most of her life advising various established and emerging companies, and business owners, Bola currently leads the Corporate Services Group of Olajide Oyewole LLP, a law firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. Her special interest is in corporate restructuring and acquisitions, and she is on the board of several companies and non-profit organisations, which she supports passionately.

Over the last 30 years, she has been deeply struck by the general tacit acceptance of the incidence of child sexual abuse in Nigeria brought about by cultural, religious and socio-economic circumstances, and the lack of recourse and support for child victims. Through “The Cece Yara Foundation” and collaboration with key institutions, Bola Tinubu has taken up the fight to preserve the joyfulness of an innocent childhood.

Bola holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Manchester, U.K., and a Law degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. She has undertaken training in the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, and the Counselling of victims, as well as Child Protection.

Bola enjoys playing squash and cycling, has 5 children, and is an amateur photographer.
